From 15 September to 15 October 2019, the fifth edition of the “Dry Stone Wall Extravaganza” project was carried out, co-financed by the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes within the Erasmus+ programme.
11 volunteers from 4 European countries spent a month in Murter and, with their ideas, work and commitment, contributed to the valorisation of the Colentum archaeological site. In a month, with the help of dry-stone wall master Ive Šikić Bažokić, they reconstructed a dry-stone wall and tidied and cleared of vegetation a part of the site that had until then been completely neglected, the far end of the Murter side of Colentum towards Betina. The volunteers also varnished and protected the benches and the swing at Colentum from decay, and they created games for the workshops held at Colentum.
