Održana 2. međunarodna konferencija projekta Tangram

The project has been extended until 31 January 2023, and the next meeting of the partner organisations will take place on Murter at the end of April or beginning of May. This is the key news from the 2nd International Conference of the Tangram project, organised in Niš by the local association Proaktiv. The conference was an opportunity for Argonauta to present all the activities carried out, i.e. the participatory workshops held to draw up a local communication plan, which together with those of the other partners will form the backbone of the transnational action plan. “Implementing the project during COVID-19” was the theme of the conference, in which, due to the epidemiological situation, most partners took part online via Zoom, while a few representatives attended in person.

Working groups and level of implementation

Most partners managed to set up working groups, so many participatory workshops have been held. However, we only expect the transnational action plan to be developed in April, when all partners have completed their local action plans, and after that we will start implementing the pilot actions – revealed Tristana Randi of DELTA 2000, the local development agency from the Emilia-Romagna region in Italy.
In addition, the state of development of the Tangram network was presented, as well as the level of implementation of communication activities such as updating the project website, social media channels, newsletters and organising events. After that, most of the project partners, including Argonauta, presented the results of their working and participatory groups. In the context of developing the local action plan, everyone arrived at similar goals – there is a need to exchange knowledge, opinions and ideas, and with a focus on sustainable tourism, it is important to preserve and promote the natural resources that can extend or stimulate the tourist season and so
develop the economy and entrepreneurship in the project area.

Taking action towards a green Murter

Argonauta was represented at the conference by Sanja Mihić and Suzana Suman, as well as external associate Ante Vekić from the company Symbol, who gave a presentation on the participatory workshops held and on the actions that participants said were necessary to achieve the vision of Murter as a green destination. It was identified that the actions to be taken include changing the mindset of local people, establishing a strategy to reduce waste and plastic, upgrading the Tastes from the Amphora project, designing themed historical routes, focusing on sustainable mobility and creating an authentic tourist offer.
