Noć Colentuma: Uspon i pad Rimskog carstva

The sixth ‘Colentum Night’ will be held on Tuesday in Murter, organised by the Murter-Kornati Tourist Board and its associates. The entire programme will take place at the archaeological site itself, at the micro-site of the Roman villa by the sea and the new archaeological beach on the Gradina peninsula.

The little ancient fair starts at 6:30 pm and the historical re-enactment ‘Pirates before Colentum’ at 8 pm, after which an interesting documentary, ‘The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire’, will be screened at the viewpoint, weather permitting.

Given the location of the Colentum archaeological site, a tourist train will take visitors there from the two busiest tourist spots in Murter.

The historical re-enactment will feature a group of children from Murter and adult Murter locals with their gajeta boats, together with professional actors from Šibenik under the direction of director and dramaturge Serđo Mioč.

The event is suitable for families with children, and the organisers invite visitors to take a more active part by coming dressed in ancient style.

The event opens tonight at 8 pm at Murter's Hramina with the workshop ‘Roman kitchen and dining room’ for preschool and school-age children, organised by the Argonauta association
