Within the project “Archaeological Treasure of Colentum 7”, the Argonauta association carries out activities to promote and valorise the Colentum archaeological site by improving the existing content and developing new methods of education using non-formal methods, inspired by the site.
The project started in October 2018, and one of its activities has just been completed – making amphorae for the “Tastes from the Amphora” prize game. The replica amphorae were made by the Turčinović family, members of the Zaokret association, Argonauta's partner in this project. The amphorae are made of clay and in a few days they will be dropped into the sea in front of Murter's beaches, waiting for summer and the first swimmers and divers. The luckiest will be those who find amphorae with the names of Murter restaurants on their medallions – these amphorae will win the lucky finder dinner for 2 at the named restaurant!
A reminder of the rules of the game: the amphora with the prize medallion must be brought to the office of the Murter-Kornati Tourist Board, where the staff will give you instructions for claiming your dinner. The amphora itself remains the permanent property of the finder as a souvenir. Finders can also keep amphorae without a prize medallion.
The Argonauta association runs the prize game in partnership with the Zaokret association and in cooperation with the Municipality of Murter-Kornati.
