The Argonauta association organised the second and third participatory workshops within the Tangram project, which it is implementing with 9 other partners under the ADRION cross-border cooperation programme.
After the first workshop, where the stakeholders reflected on positive and negative expectations for the coming period, the aim of further work was to generate ideas that answer the questions: what needs to be done, when and who will do it? And then to discuss the projects, choose the best ones and identify the actors responsible for carrying them out, all with the aim of coming closer to the Murter 2030 vision, shaped according to the results of the first participatory workshop:
“In 2030, sustainable Murter is a place (island) that is developed for tourism, equipped with utilities, horticulturally landscaped and environmentally harmonious, built in line with ecological values and urban plans of traditional Mediterranean architecture, which offers visitors an authentic experience of the Adriatic and the Dalmatian way of life, where local people actively work to improve the quality of life and on independent business initiatives in agriculture and fishing, all in line with municipal measures and in cooperation with the public, civil and business sectors.”
The workshops brought together more than 20 local stakeholders: local policy makers, representatives of the private sector, sector experts and representatives of the non-profit sector. Led by Mirna Karzen and Ante Vekić (Symbol), over two workshops the stakeholders first generated project ideas and then, through discussion and voting, defined those that will bring Murter one step closer to achieving its vision.
