Over the past week, the “Little Archaeological Workshop” led by Vedrana Ćetković was held at the Colentum site.
Vedrana brought together users of the Šubićevac Education Centre and the Association for the Promotion of Inclusion Zagreb, and with the help of their hard-working hands and our EVS volunteers, a beautiful mosaic showing the logo of the Colentum archaeological site was created. The mosaic technique was chosen for the workshop because Colentum, thanks to the many mosaics found at the site, has been called the “town of mosaics”.
The users of these two institutions shaped polymer clay for the mosaic, practising their motor skills, and they also spent time with young people from Europe, met new people and enjoyed the nature and heritage of the Colentum archaeological site. The mosaic will decorate the premises of the Argonauta association, and the workshop was created in cooperation between the Šibenik City Museum, the Šubićevac Education Centre and the Argonauta association, with financial support from the Municipality of Murter-Kornati.
We hope to continue our cooperation and look forward to new creative projects with our associates and users!
