The “Tastes from the Amphora” project will contribute to the valorisation of maritime heritage in the area of FLAG Galeb through an innovative approach to popularising and theming fishing and maritime heritage, inspired by linking the ancient resource base of the Colentum archaeological site, the historical significance of the amphora and the contemporary gastronomic offer of Murter's restaurateurs. The project will result in a prize game called “Tastes from the Amphora”, a tested innovative marketing product that can be used to promote Murter's maritime heritage through the link between the amphora and local gastronomy, and to draw public attention to the future visitor and interpretation centre, the House of the Amphora – Amphorarium.

Objectives

• The specific objectives of this project contribute to the promotion and sustainable use of the fishing and maritime heritage of Murter and the FLAG area by presenting it through the symbol of the amphora, the ancient container for essential foodstuffs. 
• It will present modern interpretations of “tastes”, based on tradition and historical sources, which we want visitors to “taste” and “experience” at Murter's restaurants and take home with them, etched in their senses, thus becoming promoters of the area (Murter and the FLAG area) and its maritime heritage.
• This project will also contribute to the education of the local community, especially local restaurateurs and fishermen/processors, so that by taking part in the project they strengthen their capacities by offering innovative fishery products through a distinctive gastronomic offer, using the ancient part of their historical and cultural legacy as inspiration for a new offer. 
• In addition, the Colentum Night event will be enriched with elements that will become a marketing mechanism for promoting local gastronomy, fishing and maritime heritage inspired by the ancient heritage of Murter and the FLAG area.
