The \u201cArchaeological Treasure of Colentum 7\u201d project focuses on developing educational and entertaining content at the Colentum site in order to valorise the Colentum archaeological site and improve the quality of life of the local community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Colentum archaeological site is located on the Gradina peninsula in Murter and is one of the most important archaeological sites in \u0160ibenik-Knin County. The potential of this site has been recognised by the local government, but local people's awareness of its value and possibilities is still low, and it needs to be developed every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this project we want to contribute to the development of educational content at the Colentum site, improve the existing content and develop new methods of education based on non-formal methods and inspired by the site. The project activities include improving the \u201cTastes from the Amphora\u201d game, creating a treasure hunt at Colentum and promoting the traditional craft of pottery, i.e. making clay objects. These activities are carried out to valorise the Colentum archaeological site, which will in turn improve the quality of life of the people of Murter in many ways. An educated and aware local community, as a stakeholder in the activities and projects planned at this site, is the foundation for its further valorisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project activities are:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Making replica amphorae for the “Tastes from the Amphora” game<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Promoting the traditional craft of pottery <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Creating the content and leaflet of an educational treasure hunt at Colentum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The development of the traditional craft of pottery, the educational game and the treasure hunt will benefit not only the local population of Murter but also all visitors, since all the content will also be available in English. Through the development of the \u201cTastes from the
    Amphora\u201d game, this project also directly encourages the development of Murter's restaurant offer, which is also very important for the local community, which is establishing itself as a gastronomic destination, among other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • The general objective of this project is to help improve the quality of life on the island of Murter through the further valorisation of the Colentum archaeological site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
